myURGENCYMD is a telehealth company designed to make navigating aspects of your healthcare easy-to-understand, cost-efficient and time saving. We are able to provide you with high quality and inexpensive video and phone doctor consultations by using our nationwide network of board-certified, state licensed providers. myURGENCYMD is not just your run-of-the-mill telemedicine company. Included with your monthly Subscription, you will have access to additional services and benefits: Ask-A-Specialist, Patient Advocacy and Assistance and Behavioral/Mental Health Counseling. You and your family can use our services as often as you like with absolutely NO hidden fees or co-pays.

Can myURGENCYMD handle my emergencies?

NO!! If you think that you are dealing with a MEDICAL EMERGENCY, you should call 911 immediately.

What if I really liked the last doctor I talked to, can I request them again?

No, unfortunately, you cannot request a particular doctor at this time. myURGENCYMD is designed to support your current relationship with your existing doctor and is therefore not a means of establishing an exclusive relationship with one of our doctors. Although we’re sure they would love the compliment, please know that all of myURGENCYMD’s physicians are highly qualified and go through rigorous training and credentialing. We have one of the largest physician networks of telehealth providers who are board-certified, state-licensed doctors. In order for us to continue to provide you with quick and efficient service, your consultation requests go into a queue and the first available physician licensed in your state will accept and process the consultation.

What if I am traveling, where are your services available?

myURGENCYMD is available in all 50 states, however, consults are not available outside of the United States.

What days and times are your services available?

Our consultations are available to you and your family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all holidays.

How long does it take once I sign up to use my benefits?

Shortly after your payment processes, you will receive an email with instructions on how to activate your account. After activation has been completed, you can start using your benefits immediately.

What if I need a doctor’s excuse for work or school?

Our providers are able to provide you with a note for missing work or class at their discretion.

How long after I request a physician consult can I expect a call back?

We guarantee a call back within two (2) hours. Our average response time is 23 minutes.

Do I talk with "real doctors"?

Yes. myURGENCYMD’s doctors are U.S. board-certified internists, pediatricians, dermatologists, and emergency medicine physicians who are state-licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. and who are also living in the U.S.

If I need a prescription, will your doctors give me one?

Yes, you will be provided a prescription if the consulting doctor deems it necessary.

Our providers will not prescribe substances that are controlled by the DEA, those which are non-therapeutic and /or certain drugs that may be harmful due to potential abuse. These include, but are not limited to, antidepressant and anxiety medications (e.g. Prozac, Cymbalta, Xanax), opioids (e.g. Norco, Percocet, Dilaudid, etc.), medications for ADD/ADHD (Ritalin, Adderal) and lifestyle drugs such as Viagra, Cialis, Propecia and Rogaine.

Can your doctor give me a prescription refill of my own medication?

Yes, a doctor can refill a prescription for reasons such as:

  • Patient’s PCP is on vacation
  • Traveling and luggage is lost
  • Temporary refills – 14 days max

Note: Our providers will not refill maintenance medication such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes if the patient has not visited with their primary care physician within the last six (6) months.

How safe is my personal information?

myURGENCYMD takes protecting your privacy seriously. Our health records are kept totally private and confidential and our portal is 100% HIPPA Compliant. Plus, we employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information. Only you determine who can see the information in your Electronic Health Record.

Is MyUrgencyMD like health insurance? I won’t be turned down for a pre-existing condition, will I?

No, myURGENCYMD is not health insurance. You may register for our service whether you have insurance or not and if you have any pre-existing conditions.

Does myURGENCYMD provide services in Spanish?

Yes, we provide a complete Spanish experience from start to finish. This allows an individual to access the myURGENCYMD website and Member Portal in Spanish, speak with a Care Coordinator in Spanish and consult with a physician in Spanish, providing a full Spanish experience.

How much does a subscription to myURGENCYMD cost?

A subscription to myURGENCYMD is currently US $24.95 per month plus a $14.95 activation fee. This includes subscriptions for 6 additional household family members and access to unlimited consultations with our providers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no copays, contracts or hidden fees. If you sign up for our Mailing List, we will send you a Promo Code that will give you $3 off of our regular price, making your subscription only $21.95 per month!!

How do I cancel my subscription?

While we don’t anticipate you ever wanting to cancel your subscription, we understand that situations change. If, at any time, you would like to cancel your subscription you may do so in one of three ways:

  • Log into your billing portal and select “Cancel”. This will cancel your subscription starting with the next billing date. You will be able to continue using your benefits until that date.
  • Send an email to cancel@myurgencymd.com with the full name of the Primary Member, Subscriber Number and a mobile phone number. Please include “Cancel” in the Subject Field.
  • Call 833-URGNC-MD (833-874-6263), choose option 1.
